Q. I view your style as feminine and quirky, how would you describe your work?
Ooh I like those! I would also describe my style as very cartoony and technicolor hued. I love bright colors and try to make them seem very playful - and I like to think that comes across in my illustrations!
Q. I love your paper dolls, especially Siouxsie Sioux from Siouxsie and the Banshees. Where did you get the inspiration for your dolls?
I have always been such a huge fan of paper dolls (I have been collecting them on and off since my childhood) so when the idea of making a paperdoll popped in my head - it seemed only natural! The inspiration behind my first doll, which I named Shirley, was really “what would my dream wardrobe look like?” - and I just went from there! For the Siouxsie Sioux paperdoll, a good friend of mine recommended I make one, and I can’t resist a good challenge! I poured over pictures of the singer, and selected my favorite outfits and tried my hardest to recreate them.
Q. You seem to have a love for mythical creatures, is that true?
Definitely! I think it started with animated movies - I love the idea of disappearing into a fantasy world where mermaids and unicorns exist!
Q. What mediums do you use?
I really love the traditional art mediums, so when I first started I used a hybrid of pencilled sketches and digital software, but as of lately I have been using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator exclusively (pencil shavings drive me insane)!
Q. Who are some of your favorite artists?
Ooh now that is difficult! I really began taking notice of artists when at age 12 I became obsessed with pin-ups, and I am still completely in awe of Alberto Vargas, Gil Elvgren, and Russell Patterson. Nowadays, I love discovering artists on tumblr and other internet platforms, some of my absolute favorites: Sashiko Yuen, Natazilla, Kippery, Kathryn Hudson, Fyodor Pavlov, Sarah Dvojack, Caitlin Shearer, Jessica Sea, and Eline Van den Broeck!

I’m loving the second week of 65th Annual Cannes Film Festival. The 22-year old actress, Kristen Stewart appeared at the premiere photocall for the film “On The Road”.
Kristen posed with costars (Kirsten Dunst pictured) wearing a white Juicy Couture tank and a black Rebecca Minkoff “Becky” blazer. To make the out-fit pop, Kristen wore a dazzling pair Balenciaga by Nicolas Ghesquière yellow and turquoise Feuillages Mouchetes slim pants. A simple white gold Cartier bracelet finishes it all off nicely.
Kristen will be the new face of Balenciaga’s new fragrance, out this fall. I’m a huge fan of the brave, youthful fashion choices she makes and I’m sure there will be many great moments to come during this week at Cannes.
Naomi Watts graced the red carpet for the 65th Annual Cannes Film Festival premiere of Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted wearing a stunning creation by Marchesa Fall 2012.
The 43-year-old Australian actress looked elegant in this blush pink flower petal embroidered gown. The petals scattered down the full train and then hemming the dress is magical. She completed her look with a Chopard white diamond necklace (57 carats) set in platinum and a pair of white diamond drop earrings set in 18-carat white gold.
My favorite look from the red carpet so far!

The Icelandic singer-songwriter is known for her wild fashion taste and delivered in an Iris Van Herpen Fall 2011 Couture creation from the ‘Capriole’ collection. I love the wig and makeup.
